Arcalian Assembly
Welcome to Parrinium Mines, created to prevent my highbrow author's blog, Peculiar Times, from being swamped by my fannish enthusiasm over the utterly wonderful new series of Doctor Who. The idea is that this blog acts firstly as a buffer zone between my fannishness and my authorial, erm, authority, and secondly as a repository of my collected Doctor Who criticism.
Certainly all my future opinions of more than a few paragraphs' length will either be posted here or, if posted to other fora such as The Jade Pagoda, JadePagodaTV or Outpost Gallifrey, copied here. I may also try to assemble some of the older stuff over time as well (although there's been a great deal of it, and it is scattered to the nine vectors somewhat). This applies not only to episode reviews of New Doctor Who, but also to comments on the Doctor Who novels, audios and short stories, as well as spin-offs thereof (although my opportunities to be objective in the latter arena are swiftly diminishing).
If you frequent the same Doctor Who sites as me, then you're very likely to read it all elsewhere anyway. Still, it's here if you ever need it, and that's the main thing. The idea is that it's all assembled here for posterity. Lucky old posterity.
The words "Arcalian" (a Time Lord chapter) and "Parrinium" (a mineral, as luck would have it) appear courtesy of the Doctor Who stories The Deadly Assassin and Death to the Daleks respectively.
